Moebius is located in a time zone of close proximity to the US which enables teleconference meetings and phone calls during business hours and a more fluent communication.

The Senior Architects

Architect Luis Rocca

Luis Rocca was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1952. He studied at the University of Architecture and Urbanism in Montevideo, graduating in 1982. Later on, he returned to the University as a professor. In this role, he traveled with students around the world for 9 months studying the world's architectural expressions. In 1971 he received a scholarship to study in the United States.

Mr. Rocca is a member of The Uruguayan Architects Society and worked in the Uruguayan Jury Association in state and private Architecture competitions. In 2007 he was member of the Jury in the international Urban Competition New York 2008 organized by Arquitectum.   
 
He has published several articles in prestigious magazines, won several awards in Architecture competitions and his work has been recognized locally and abroad.

For more than 10 years he has provided Onshore Outsourcing services to the most prestigious Architecture firms in Uruguay with his company MARQ. Mr. Rocca worked for 9 years as one of the Principal Architects at Carlos Ott International Office managing projects from all over the world. Since 2003 he has been working in association with Architect Carlos Ott in several projects in Uruguay. 
 
Mr. Rocca has accumulated nearly two decades of architectural and planning experience and owns an impressive design portfolio. In his role as Principal in charge of Design, he coordinates and leads multi-disciplinary design teams on a variety of complex projects and has experience in all the project development phases.

Architect Carla Antón

Carla Antón was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1974. She studied at the University of Architecture and Urbanism in Montevideo, graduating in 2003. In 2000 she traveled around the world for 9 months studying the world's architectural expressions.

Ms. Antón works in association with Luis Rocca in Onshore Outsourcing, providing services to the most prestigious Architecture firms in Uruguay with their firm MARQ.

As a specialist in Computer Aided Design (CAD), she taught at one of the Official Autodesk Training Centers in Uruguay in 2005. Before founding Moebius she worked at Carlos Ott International Office in several projects from around the world.

As Principal in charge of Documentation and Design, she coordinates and leads multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of complex projects.

Carla Antón and Luis Rocca have been conference lecturers in several opportunities. In May 2007 they traveled to New York for the conference organized by Harvard University called “Conference on Contemporary Architecture Practice”. They were part of a panel of offshore experts and professionals who exchange opinions, stories and conclusions.

In May and September 2008 they gave two conferences about Architectural Offshore Outsourcing services: one at the State University (UDELAR) and another one at a private University, ORT.
 
The main points at the ORT University conference were: long-distance project development, customer relationship, technology infrastructure and international drawings standards.
 
In the conference held at the State University several points were developed in detail: theoretical approach to Offshore Architecture, introduction of the American market as main target for offshore services, technology infrastructure, the outsourcing process and its stages, communication with the client and ending with the presentation of real case studies. 

In 2007 they were awarded with the first prize in an international Architecture competition organized by Arquitectum. Over 178 teams from all over the world and 115 projects took part in this competition. Architects Rocca-Anton designed a Green Building Lodge/Museum which mimics the natural surrounding of Chachapoyas, Peru.
